i have been visiting my family this weekend
but it has nothing to do with not reading your book
but i am now using it as an excuse
you had a knife cut your hair
(how old are you anyway?)

i am depleted of all my energy
there has been some kind of explosion
and all the people here a starving
to chew on paper

like david byrne in "once in a lifetime"
he reminded me of a teacher
who was the complete opposite of david byrne
and is now writing about religion

it is working again
the machine i wrote about in the basement of our school
there may be no signal for a short time, a moment
i am guessing lyrics all day
and i am guessing gestures and words and keep guessing

i was called to the office
to report
they had been evesdropping
on what i was thinking
(there were bubbles of saliva on your lips)

there are now so many turnarounds
i was writing down all of them for years
when i stopped writing it down
everything else stopped
